The EcoCover Business Opportunity

EcoCover Developments from New Zealand has developed a range of biodegradable mulch products made mainly from waste paper.  These products are patented in 21 countries including the USA and Canada.

Paper mulch will eventually replace plastic film used for mulching soil because the price of petroleum based plastic will no longer be competitive.  EcoCover's EcoCrop™ is already price competitive with better grades of plastic film.  The worldwide market for plastic mulch exceeds 30 million acres worldwide.

The EcoCover proposition is to sell the manufacturing plants to make EcoCover patented products under license, providing local delivery to local markets.  The future of an energy constrained world is localization.  In the mean time, an EcoCover plant in the USA, Canada or elsewhere has a market as large as the economics of shipping will allow.

EcoPins have been developed as a compliment to EcoCover, which requires pinning or staking to the ground for many applications.  Sales of EcoPins are part of the EcoCover manufacturing opportunity.
